If this baby looks familar, that's because you've seen her before! I was invited back to Marsha and John's Natchitoches home to photograph Crislee Ann in celebration of her 1st month. She wasn't too fussy through the first half-hour I was there, but soon grew tired of not being held in the latter half of the session. I can't blame her. If I had people around to hold me all day, I won't want to give it up, either!
Crislee's grandfather, also named John, was visiting from Arkansas and we had to get some photos of him with his newest future-Razorback! For some strange reason, she was happiest in his arms. Grandparents are magical that way, I suppose.
Just a few months ago, I was honored to shoot family portraits by my former high school biology teacher. She told me that she wanted to have portraits done for Christmas, and a few that she could use to announce her pregnancy to her family and friends. WHAT? A surprise announcement? Of course I'd do it! I was one of the first few to know. I love a good secret! So we met up in Natchitoches and somehow managed to keep the secret from her two very observant teens.
Which brings us to today: meeting Crislee Ann. A perfectly healthy and wonderful baby girl who is so very blessed to have such wonderful people (and doggy brother) looking after her. A big sister, a brother, a serious and loving Doberman, and two proud, doting parents.
Without further ado, Miss Crislee Ann, 6 days new.
