I have a bit of a problem. I'm addicted to soap.
I currently have... well, I'm not going to count, but I have a lot of soap. I'm not talking "Zest" or "Irish Spring," either. Those are terrible. I am, however, talking about Bathhouse.
Bathhouse Soapery & Caldarium is an artisan soap company in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Luckily for me, they have a boutique in Natchitoches, Louisiana, as well as in St. Charles, Missouri.
This is just a very small selection of the thirty scents they have at the Natchitoches storefront.
Honey Almond smells exactly as you would think. Sweet and rich. The little honey-comb holes on the top may not be kosher for those afflicted by trypophobia (fear of tiny holes,) but for everyone else, this will be a classic and favorite scent.
Hot Southern Mess
Hot Southern Mess is a feisty yet sophisticated scent for the woman that has to have it all. The description is possibly my favorite on the website. BS&C's description states:
“Hot Southern Mess” is the aura of a southern women that is sexiest with her girl-next-door appearance, can rock cutoffs and/or a ballgown, listens to Cash and JB Jovi, wears cowboy boots under her wedding dress, knows how to be wild and free while being the tie that binds her family. She knows how to use her accent to get her way, her eyelashes to bring him to his knees, and can tell you to go straight to hell with words dripped in so much sugar you’ll look forward to the trip…..
Unfortunately, Lavender Marshmallow is being reduced to a seasonal offering. Womp womp. It's spicy, floral, and sweet all at once, with a distinct winter-y vibe that strangely, wouldn't be out of place in any other season.
Fig & Milk
Fig & Milk is so luxurious it would almost be considered too indulgent. Rich and vibrant, this fruity floral is meant to be a super star.
Mud & Minerals
I got this one a couple of months ago but haven't used it yet. It smells fresh, clean, and a little masculine. Mud & Minerals is reportedly good for acne-prone skin, so I'll have to do my own research!
They don't just sell soap, either.
I've tried so many of their incredible products. Bath bombs, lip balms, solid perfume, facial toner spray, bubbling scrub, lotions... you name it, I've probably tried it. In any case, you should hop on over to their website right now and see what they offer, or better yet, go to their Front Street shop and indulge yourself in the flesh.
