I adore photographing weddings. There's so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. Jon and Michelle's wedding was beautiful and you could just tell they had put all of themselves and their unique personalities into every touch.
While they hadn’t fully anticipated the full weekend of rain, causing them to have to scramble to find a reception space just a few short days before the wedding, Michelle and Jon (as well as their loving entourage) handled the weather with impeccable grace.
The wedding was at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, Louisiana. They held their reception at the Natchitoches Event Center and was it was deliciously catered by the famous Natchitoches eatery: Lasyone's Meat Pie Restaurant.
A few more people that helped their wedding go off without a hitch was:
Hair: All Tangled Up Salon
Makeup: Skin by Kendra
Dress: Miss Pamela's Bridal Salon
Flowers: Mary Lou's Flowers
Cakes: Dee's Desserts & Designs
Caterer: Lasyone's Meat Pie Restaurant
Bar: Maggio's Package Liquor
Rentals: Maison Louisiane Catering
DJ: Gunny's D.J. Service Mobile Disc Jocky
Lodging: Cane River Cottage
Ceremony Venue: Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Natchitoches, Louisiana)
Reception Venue: Natchitoches Events Center
You could tell they were really loving every minute of their special day.
As for me, one of my personal favorite moments of the wedding was when we got to go play in the rain for a few intimate portraits!
Okay, enough talk. Check out this gorgeous couple!
(yes, that's a GIF! I couldn't resist. I love the way Michelle's dress moved.)
I'm a story-teller first, photographer second. The love stories my clients hire me to capture are modern fairy tales.
I live in Natchitoches Parish, pronounced "knack-uh-tish" for y'all out-of-towners. I'm surrounded by fantasy novel-status Spanish moss and live on a spacious amount of acreage with my loving husband and our pets.
I photograph the now for the future, focusing on the intimate moments and the details that you'll recall for years to come.
